The Republic of Mongolia is a landlocked East Asian country, once the centre of the Mongol Empire in the 13th century. Mongolia was later ruled by China before independence was found with Soviet help in the 1920s. You’ll feel like you have stepped back a century in time with Genghis Khan because Mongolia is throwback to bygone days when life was much, much simpler.

Naturally, golf has yet to find its niche here in Mongolia, although there is a 9-hole golf course at Genghis Khan Country Club in the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park and in 2013 Mt. Bogd Golf Club at the Sky Ski Resort opened, Mongolia's first 18-holer. However, according to Andre Tolme, Mongolia is one enormous golf course. Between May 2003 and July 2004 Andre became the first person to hit a golf ball across Mongolia’s 1,200+ miles. Mad? We’ll let you decide.
