Kyrgyzstan

We can’t find a great deal to say about Kyrgyzstan, which is a small, landlocked and mountainous country situated in central Asia. It is home to the world’s second largest mountain lake and the country has heavy winter snowfall that can lead to serious flooding further downstream in the spring. We’re certain that there’s much more to Kyrgyzstan than mountains and snow so we’d love to hear from you if you have any interesting insider snippets of information.

The Maple Leaf Golf Club sounds very Canadian to us, so it came as no surprise to find out that it was inaugurated by a few Canuck expats. It’s naturally located towards the mountains a few miles outside the capital Bishkek and this nine holer opened for play in 2002. We’d love to know more, so if you can throw any light on the relative merits of the Maple Leaf course we’d love to hear from you.
