Its capital city, Khartoum, sits at the point where the White Nile and Blue Nile meet to form the Nile at the start of its long journey north through Egypt to the Mediterranean Sea.

Since it gained independence in 1956, Sudan has endured a number of costly civil wars and conflicts with neighbouring nations, stunting the country’s economic growth.

Harradine Golf began work on a 9-hole floodlit course close to the Soba University Hospital in Khartoum in 2008 and two years later, Golf Club Fenti opened for play. Built on a long, flat strip of land next to a main road, fairways are routed either side of five interconnected lakes that run through the middle of the property.
