The Republic of North Macedonia (formerly Macedonia) is a small country which these days occupies only the western section of the old ancient Kingdom of Macedonia. Set in southeast Europe, this historical country with its monasteries, rural villages, vineyards and orchards has a patchwork of cultures that reach back to the 5th Century. North Macedonia is also enjoying a wine renaissance despite being a wine-producing nation since ancient times.

Since its breakaway from the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s, Macedonia has been to the brink of civil war and back. The country is making great progress and, although golf is not yet top of the Macedonian agenda, we've heard that a five star golf resort is on the drawing board, which will be located close to the airport.
