Gabon
Formerly a French colony, Gabon gained independence from France in 1960 and has since enjoyed more than half a century of stability. With a relatively small population and thanks to its oil exports, Gabon enjoys reasonable wealth although most Gabonese live in poverty. With vast National parks and dense rainforests teeming with wildlife, including lowland gorillas and forest elephants, Gabon is an exciting West African destination.

According to the Gabonese Golf Federation, there are five golf courses in Gabon and perhaps the best of them all is the Golf Club de Libreville, which tends to host most important Gabonese golf tournaments. Another course that comes highly regarded can be found at Golf Club de Port-Gentil. We may feature Libreville Golf Club at some future point and perhaps also Port-Gentil. Watch this space.
