Tuvalu
Once known as the Ellice Islands, Tuvalu is situated halfway between Hawaii and Australia in the Pacific Ocean. Comprising three islands and six atolls, it covers an area of approximately ten square miles, with a population of around 10,000 people. The main atoll of Funafuti attracts most of the visitors to Tuvalu since that’s where the only airport is located and there are hotel facilities available for eco-tourists who come to experience the Funafuti Conservation Area.
