Serbia
Since June 2006, Serbia and Montenegro are now two independent countries. Serbia is set in the heart of the Balkan Peninsula with lowlands in the north and majestic mountains in the south. With the navigable Danube, a pleasant continental climate and a developing wine region, Serbia is fast becoming a vogue European destination. With roots dating back to the 7th century, it has a diverse history and culture with a taste of both Europe and the Orient.

There are two more golf courses in Serbia than in Montenegro at the moment. Golf Club Belgrade is located close to the city of Belgrade on the former island of Ada Ciganlija which has now been turned into a peninsula. A second 9-hole course opened at Golf Club Centar in 2012. Hopefully these are the beginnings of a Serbian golfing love affair.
