The course of Honiara Golf Club dates back to 1957 and it’s a rudimentary 18-hole course that is set out on level ground a few miles to the east of the capital. Occupying ground formerly used as the Fighter II airfield at Kukum, the club started out with a 9-hole layout, using the old Immigration and Customs Services hut as its first clubhouse.
