James Michener famously fictionalised Vanuatu in "Tales of the South Pacific", which won a Pulitzer Prize and was a Broadway hit as the musical South Pacific. The island of Ambae was the inspiration for Bali Hai.
There are resort courses at Le Lagon and Le Meridien, consisting of a 12-hole layout and a 9-hole layout, respectively. The two 18-hole courses on the island are White Sands Country Club and Port Vila Golf and Country Club, with the latter hosting the annual Vanuatu Golf Open. If you've played golf in Vanuatu, we'd be very pleased to hear from you.
