Launched in 2004, Top 100 Golf Courses is the independent and original golf course ranking and rating platform, dedicated to the world’s largest community of traveling golfers
Top 100 is the only online resource that provides detailed and independent course information on thousands of courses, alongside tens of thousands of genuine course reviews from golf course architecture enthusiasts and comprehensive biographies for the world’s best golf course architects.
Our biennial ranking lists are the most complete and extensive ever published, either online or in print. We were the first publication to produce Top 100 national rankings for England, France, Germany, Scotland and Spain. We were also first to publish a Top 100 for Asia and we continue to push the boundaries in areas such as California, Florida and New York where we also published inaugural Top 100 rankings.
Introducing Lockhart Travel Club
We started the Lockhart Travel Club to provide a practical way for our members to satiate that hunger for world-class golf exploration and adventure.
Our members represent some of the world’s greatest clubs and have many things in common. Not the least is the desire to explore, share the greatest golf experiences and join like-minded individuals around the world who identify themselves in the exact same way they do.
The club is made up of golfers who have been frustrated not to be able to travel, play golf and tick off their bucket list of courses and are now more determined than ever to play more golf than they ever have.
Our members are driven to see and play the best courses in the world, and they will leap at opportunities to do so once those opportunities present themselves through the club network.

Our quickly growing panel is being expanded in all major golf countries. The panelists themselves range from highly respected industry experts, golf travel enthusiasts and golf architecture connoisseurs. They bring local expertise in their markets to our team and have all played extensively in their regions as well as internationally which is essential in putting together the most informed rankings we can and being able to weight them against the best courses in the region and the world.
