The Republic of Moldova is situated in the east of Europe and it was formerly part of the Soviet Union prior to gaining independence in 1991. Moldova has much natural beauty and, even though the country is multi-ethnic, it still holds strong many customs, rituals and folklore.

The golf bug has not quite reached Moldova but there is perhaps a glimmer. The Moldovan Golf Association was formed in 1995, but we don't think there are any golf courses in the country. We'll keep a watchful eye on proceedings and when golf does arrive in Moldova, we will be the first to let you know.
