American Samoa comprises of six South Pacific Polynesian islands. It’s the southern-most territory of the United States and it’s known as the heart of Polynesia. Draw a triangle from Hawaii, New Zealand and Tahiti you’ll find Samoa slap bang in the middle.

American Samoa comprises of six South Pacific Polynesian islands. It’s the southern-most territory of the United States and it’s known as the heart of Polynesia. Draw a triangle from Hawaii, New Zealand and Tahiti you’ll find Samoa slap bang in the middle.
American Samoa was Americanised in the 1960s and consequently the islands bear some of the scars of commercialism. That said, the tropical trade winds climate brings many visitors to these lovely islands.
There’s only one course in American Samoa, sited at the south of the main island of Tutuila at Ili'ili. Ili'ili golf course is maintained and managed by the parks department and is a pleasant but unremarkable 18-hole track.
