Roquebrune
Roquebrune-sur-Argens, France- AddressGolf de Roquebrune, 1308 route de golf, 83520 Roquebrune-sur-Argens, France
The original course at Golf de Roquebrune was designed by Dutch architect Udo Barth in the late 1980s but Michel Gayon was then engaged in 2007 to remodel the layout, resulting in the eighteen holes that are currently in play today.
The layout now extends to just under 6,000 metres from the back markers, playing to a par of 71 (36 out then 35 in). The round ends at the water-laden par three 18th, where tee shots are played across a small lake to a home green that’s also fronted by a large bunker.
Other highlight holes on this gently undulating Roquebrune course include the downhill, slightly right doglegging par four 7th (played to a right-to-left sloping green) on the outward half and the double doglegging par five 11th (rated stroke index 1) on the inward half.
