Château de la Tournette (English)

The English is less hilly than its sibling, unwinding across a rolling plain that is fairly typical of the Walloon Brabant region. Tree planting has negated the more open aspect of the original design but there’s still lots to like here with pleasant changes in elevation, good fairway contouring and stylish bunkering, along with attractive ponds that bring water into play at several holes during the round.

Highlight holes include the right doglegging par four 3rd with water to the left of the green; both par threes at the 4th and 15th which play in opposite directions across the same pond; the long par three 6th with yet another pond to the left of the putting surface; and the tough par four finishing hole that narrows towards a home green protected by now fewer than four bunkers in front of the putting surface.
