James Herd Scott, the Scottish-born professional who had already had a hand in designing courses such as Monash in New South Wales and nearby Federal, was the man who laid out the course at Yowani Country Club in the mid-1950s.
The club announced an exciting new project at the start of 2019, with Ben Davey from Contour Golf Design appointed to prepare a master plan that will see the club sell its current clubhouse, bowling greens and driving range.
The idea is to move the clubhouse to a new location in the southwest corner of the property then redesign half the holes, with the new 18th following the curve of a lake in full view of the new clubhouse.
