“A predictably watery, mound-laden and housing-lined affair,” remarked Daniel Wexler in The American Private Golf Club Guide, “it is nonetheless a layout with enough of a strategic bent to rank among the better entries in the Palmer Portfolio, with numerous holes offering a strong degree of playing interest… The aesthetic is modern-generic, but the golf isn’t too bad – particularly as TPC’s go”

After hosting the 3M Championship on the PGA Champions Tour (formerly the Senior Tour) for more than two decades, TPC Twin Cities staged the inaugural 3M Open in 2019, won by Matthew Wolff. The 3M Open became the first PGA Tour stop in the North Star state since Braemar (a popular public golf course in Edina) hosted the final Minnesota Classic in 1969.
