The golf complex at Suvarna Jakarta Golf Club occupies a 400-acre site next to Halim Perdanakasuma airport, with three 9-hole loops laid out between the Padang Golf Halim facility to the west and the Royale Jakarta Golf Club to the north of the property.

Designed by Bob Moore from the JMP Golf Design Group, the fairways are set out on land that for over forty years was home to the Halim 2 course, alongside its sibling, Halim 1, which is still in operation as a pay and play set-up.

This terrain has now been completely remodelled to fashion a new set of twenty-seven holes which display traditional British links features (like revetted bunkers, narrow burns and large greens) and local Indonesian elements such as mature trees and sparkling ponds.

Each of the three nines return to the clubhouse via par five holes (#9 on the Red and Blue, #8 on the Green) which are routed in parallel across what the architect has termed “The Elysian Field,” offering golfers a variety of ways to navigate from tee to green.

And for those playing their 18-hole round on the preferred Blue and Green circuits, their game ends in spectacular style at the 162-yard 9th on the Green, which plays to an island green that was inspired by the 17th hole on the Stadium course at TPC Sawgrass.
