The Reserve Vineyard was one of several wine destinations to add golf as an attraction for visitors, and it did not mess around, adding not one but two quality routes.

The South Course is the “championship” layout, measuring nearly 7,200 yards from its back tees, and featuring more than 100 bunkers. The signature hole on this side is No. 6, which — at 605 yards — is both the longest hole and the No. 1 handicap hole. While the North Course was designed by Bob Cupp, the premiere course at the facility was awarded to John Fought...and not just because Portland is his hometown.

The course’s challenging pedigree made it an optimal host for the Fred Meyer Challenge, the largest non-sanctioned PGA event. This charity event called Reserve Vineyards home for four years, and has hosted a number of PGA Champions Tour events since then.

If you don’t know a member at Reserve Vineyards, be sure to plan your visit carefully if you plan on playing the South Course; it is only available to non-members from the 16th through the end of each month.
