Northmoor (Blue & White)
Highland Park, Illinois- Address820 Edgewood Rd, Highland Park, IL 60035, USA
“Located immediately southeast of the more famous Bob O'Link”, commented Daniel Wexler in The American Private Golf Club Guide, “Northmoor today has 27 holes, 18 of which are Donald Ross originals, with the extra nine added by Larry Packard in 1965.
Packard's holes include numbers 2-7 of today's Red nine and the 4th and 5th of the present White, meaning that Ross fans can best find his work by playing the Blue/White combination, where he built 16 of 18 holes.”
It's no surprise, therefore, that the Blue and White nines at Northmoor Country Club comprise the course of first choice at this 27-hole facility where Michael Hurdzan recently renovated the bunkers using Better Billy Bunker liner with Black Beauty fescue edging.
