Nashawtuc
Concord, Massachusetts- Address1861 Sudbury Rd, Concord, MA 01742, USA
Designed by Geoff Cornish in 1950, the course at Nashawtuc Country Club underwent a Rees Jones renovation early in the new millennium, resulting in upgraded bunkers, rebuilt tees and greens, and the installation of a new drainage system.
“Laid out among wetlands along the Sudbury River in Boston’s western suburbs, Nashawtuc ranks among Geoffrey Cornish’s better designs, offering enough challenge to serve as a regular Champions Tour stop from 1984-2008” writes Daniel Wexler in The American Private Golf Club Guide.
Starting in 1984, the Bank of America Championship on the men’s senior tour was a regular fixture here over a twenty-five-year period, attracting multiple winners like Chi-Chi Rodrigues (1986-1988), Bob Charles (1988-1990), Hale Irwin (1997-1998) and Larry Nelson (2000-2001).
