Described as “an old-school Asian Tour course,” with greens sloping almost exclusively from back-to-front, the 18-hole layout at NamSeoul Country Club has hosted nearly every edition of the Maekyung Open since the first edition of this event in 1982.
Fashioned in 1971 by Seiichi Inoue, the unheralded Japanese master of design, NamSeoul Country Club traverses hilly and mountainous terrain where you’ll need a deft putting stroke to master the slippery greens.
Former Chairman of the Korea Golf Association (KGA), Jeong-soo Hur, founded the club and he then passed the reins to his son Kwang-soo Hur who is also now KGA Chairman.
Apart from hosting the annual Maekyung Open, NamSeoul is also the venue for the Korea Amateur Golf Championship.
