Junglinster, Grevenmacher- AddressJunglinster, Luxembourg
Located ten miles to the north of Luxembourg airport in the hilly, forested district of Grevenmachar, the course at Golf de Luxembourg Belenhaff made its debut in 1994 as a 9-hole track, with an additional nine holes completing the layout the following year.
Laid out within a massive 400-acre estate, the tree-lined fairways are routed around the wonderful 18th-century Belenhaff manor house, where a couple of wetland areas, three lakes and a creek all come into play during the round.
Feature holes include “Willow Bend,” the short par four 3rd, where the hole veers severely right towards a green that slopes markedly from right to left and “Lake Heuron,” the 401-metre 6th, which doglegs left and uphill to the green, past a large water hazard.
On the back nine, the 408-metre 12th (“Belebierg”) is barely longer than the longest par four on the course, but it’s still a tough par five. An uphill drive is required at the bottom of a hill as the hole then doglegs left with out of bounds all along the left side of the fairway.
