The Rocas de Santo Domingo resort sits on the shores of Chile’s Pacific coastline near the mouth of the Maipo river, where it was first developed in the 1940s.

A further five miles away, on the Ruta de la Fruta, lies the Las Brisas de Santo Domingo residential complex, which opened in 1995.

Situated on Chile’s western coast, the golf course at Las Brisas extends to 6,843 yards and the 27 holes (constructed around five man-made lakes used for irrigation) are configured in three loops of nine, complementing the squash, tennis and swimming facilities at the club.

Arizona-based Gage Davis Associates were responsible for the design of Las Brisas and the course (opened in 1995) has not only received numerous accolades but is also referred to as “the Pebble Beach of South America”.

A further 9-hole circuit is planned for the future.
