The course at Langesø Golf Club is a Spogárd & VanderVaart design, with the architects adding nine holes to an existing 9-hole track when fashioning the new layout. Routed through mature and protected woodland, it offers a spectacular and dramatic golf experience.
Extending to 5,751 metres from the back markers, the course plays to a par of 71 (36 out then 35 in) with water coming into play at several holes, most noticeably on the back nine at the par three 11th (where the green sits behind a little lake) and the par four 12th, with a small pond to the right of the fairway, short of the green.
Highlight holes on the front nine include short par fours at the 3rd and 5th, along with the 136-metre 6th, where the offset green is protected by water to the front and left of the putting surface. On the inward half, the round climaxes with a difficult par five (rated stroke index 2) which veers right towards a peninsula home green, mandating an aerial approach over water.
