Located approximately 8 miles southwest of downtown Chicago, La Grange Country Club was established in 1899 and moved to its present location in 1913 after outgrowing its original Herbert Tweedie-designed 9-hole course.
The "new" 18-hole course was designed with a routing of outer and inner nines by Tom Bendelow and William Langford and underwent an early new millennium renovation by Brian Silva to upgrade the layout to modern standards.
The club hosted the U.S. Women’s Open in 1974 and 1981, won by Sandra Haynie and Pat Bradley respectively.
