With 36 challenging holes, Kungsängen Golf & Country Club is undoubtedly one of the premier tournament golfing venues in Sweden. Located a mere 20-minute drive to the north of Stockholm, the club was founded in 1991 and has been the place to play and enjoy the game of golf near the capital ever since.

The shorter Queens course was the first track to open at Kungsangen in 1991 and the tournament Kings followed suit two years later. Designed by Anders Forsbrand, the Kings had its sights set on becoming a championship layout right from the off. Host to the Scandinavian Masters in 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2005, Kungsangen has seen some notable winners, including Sweden’s own Jesper Parnevik and England’s Lee Westwood.

The Kings course is billed as a fun, yet challenging golf experience but we suggest you leave the tips alone if you’re not a pro. From the championship tees Kungsangen Kings measures 6,248 metres and par is set at a lowly 71.

With a fine collection of holes, Kungsangen is rapidly developing into a high-class venue and it’s a memorable experience that should be sampled when visiting Stockholm.
