Hurlingham

Today’s par 70 course measures 6,349 yards and, as per many of the golf courses of these years, the layout is characterised by small, fast greens and narrow fairways.

The 373-yard par four 14th is probably the signature hole. This short, strategic two-shotter doglegs left around a water hazard. The drive landing area is narrow (only 22 yards wide) and is protected by a lagoon on the left and three tall mounds on the right, so you really need to be precise with your tee shot. Once you’ve successfully executed that shot, your approach is to a perfectly circular small green of 20 by 20 yards where two pot bunkers protected the entrance.

Hurlingham is always a good place to visit, not only because the course is expertly maintained, but also because of its lovely surroundings. The club played host to many important tournaments, including the Argentine Amateur Championship, the Argentine Interclub Championship and the Argentine Open several times, most recently in 2008. This Club also hosts one of the most important Polo Tournaments in the world: The Hurlingham Open.
