Hawks Ridge
Ball Ground, Georgia- Address1100 Hawks Ridge Golf Club, Ball Ground, GA 30107, USA
The Hawks Ridge vision was to create an exceptional golf club community and they called in Bob Cupp to fashion an “Augusta National for the 21st century”. The course opened for play in 1999 and it’s moving from strength to strength and many believe, including Cupp himself, that Hawks Ridge is his finest creation.
Hawks Ridge is located at Ball Ground, some 30 miles north of Atlanta, close to the southwestern foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The course is set in risk and reward fashion amidst the towering pines and engaging changes in elevation synonymous with its location.
It’s easy to aspire to the standards of Augusta National but much more difficult to attain. Hawks Ridge is highly polished and the designer has tried to create the olde worlde sophistication of classical architecture with a twist of modernity. It’s no surprise therefore that Hawks Ridge is rapidly becoming one of the southeast’s most sought after addresses.
You’ll need the mandatory invite to play the challenging par 72 Hawks Ridge layout but stick with the six degrees of separation theory and who knows, soon you might be fortunate enough to tee it up at Hawks Ridge.
