Gosnells Golf Club is located between the Perth suburbs of Canning Vale and Southern River, about 20 kilometres southeast of the central business district. The club relocated here in the early 1960s (after nearly 20 years at nearby Maddington) with Murray Dawson setting out a new 18-hole course.

Occupying a property of around 125 acres, this tight, tree-lined track extends to 5,921 metres from the back tees, playing to a par of 70. The shorter outward half features three par threes measuring between 134 and 197 metres, while the inward half concludes with the longest (and toughest) of the three par fives on the scorecard.

One of the country’s greatest golfers, Graham Marsh, played at Gosnells in his early amateur days, winning the handicap championship within twelve months of joining the club. He went on to claim more than sixty titles as a professional before returning as a course architect in the mid-1990s to remodel the layout.

Highlight holes include the 162-metre 9th (played across water to a two-tiered, raised green positioned next to the clubhouse), the right doglegged 12th (rated stroke index 1, located in the north corner of the property), and the 505-metre 18th, where the shallow home green sits immediately behind a little lake.
