Located within a wonderful nature reserve on an elongated island between the mighty River Rhine and the Grand Canal of Alsace, the 18-hole course at Golf du Rhin has been enchanting golfers ever since it first opened in 1969.
Because of its location, the club is committed to its sensitive environment and it’s rightly proud of the GEO certification it achieved in June 2012, striving to maintain an ecologically rich and healthy landscape by maximizing the natural and cultural qualities of the course.
The fairways are laid out on pretty flat terrain as two returning nines, with the outward half occupying land to the north of the island on which the course is built and fairways on the inward half set out to the south of the clubhouse.
Notable holes include the par four 7th, (doglegging right with a large tree in the middle of the fairway), the short par 13th (which has water threatening to the left of the green), and the 386-metre 18th, where another pond protects to the right and to the rear of the home green.
