Neil Coles and David Williams designed the Lakes course at the gargantuan Five Lakes Hotel, Golf & Country Club. It officially opened in 1991 with the televised Nick Faldo Challenge, a Texas Scramble exhibition against Nigel Mansell, Ian Botham and Daley Thompson. Sir Nick was comfortably beaten.
