The Enzesfeld golf course is one of the oldest in Austria. Originally, it was a private 9-hole par three layout belonging to the Rothschild family but it was expanded to an 18-hole course by John Harris shortly after the property was purchased by Baron Hubert von Pantz in 1964. The Czernins family then took over the estate in 1984.

Situated less than an hour’s drive from the centre of Vienna, Enzesfeld lies within a hilly, densely forested landscape, where the fairways were literally hewn from the woodland terrain. The course extends to 5,647 metres, playing to a par of 72, with holes laid out as two returning nines.

Unusually, there are back-to-back par fives on both the outward half (3rd and 4th) and inward half (14th and 15th). Feature holes include short par fours at the 1st and 5th, and two of the final three holes are played as par threes, with the green for the 163-metre 18th positioned to the right of a lovely lake that sits in front of the clubhouse.
