Engadine Golf Club is one of the oldest in Continental Europe, dating back to 1893, and its original course at Samedan is still in play today. With an ever-growing membership of more than a thousand golfers, the club now has the use of another golf course nine kilometres away, between Zuoz and Madulain, which Canadian architect Les Furber designed in 2002.

Extending to just over 6,000 metres from the back tees, the layout plays to a par of 72 (36 out then 36 back). Small ponds play a part in proceedings at several holes, most notably at the right doglegging par four 5th and on the back nine between the par four 12th and the par five 13th. There’s also an interesting run of short par fours around the turn, from #9 to #11.

Highlight holes include par threes at the 4th and 8th which play in opposite directions across the same wide creek; the long par five 13th where an irrigation lake runs along the right side of the fairway as it heads towards the green; and the demanding left doglegged par four 18th that features a very intimidating sand-protected home green.
