Dolina Kardinala
Mirkopolje, Zagrebačka županija- AddressMirkopolje, Croatia
Designed by Howard Swan, Dolina Kardinala is named after the colloquial name for the Jastrebarsko region (“Valley of the Cardinals”) where many leading clergy, military leaders, politicians and artists have lived. The course measures 6,600 yards with a par of 71 and its fairways (many of them doglegged) are laid out in two returning loops, the front nine largely routed around the perimeter of the property. Feature holes on the card are the par threes at 8 and 17 which play to adjacent island greens in the middle of the course.
The Dolina Kardinala golf course closed for renovation and was scheduled to reopen in April 2014, but to our knowledge it has still not opened.
