In Volume 2 of The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses by Tom Doak, Ran Morrissett, Masa Nishijima and Darius Oliver, the authors have this to say about the course:
“As home club to both Eduardo Romero and Angel Cabrera, the course known locally as Villa Allende has a great history of producing champions. It is a very green parkland course over gently rolling terrain, but neither the greens nor the bunkering give it any flair; instead, the holes rely on a multitude of trees to enforce the line of play on the many doglegs.”
Córdoba Golf Club is home to two great golfers: "El Pato" Cabrera and "El Gato" Romero and their excellent American-style course has been transformed over the last 15 years. Its agrostis bent grass greens were reconstructed under USGA standards and its generous tifton fairways were improved notably. Some construction details such as bunker edges were also improved and the original routing was modified. Corboda Golf Club is located just by the Sierras Chicas, in Villa Allende and provides the ideal location for a round of golf.
Corboda hosts one of the most traditional events of Argentine professional golf: the Center Open Championship, event sanctioned by the European Challenge Tour, what has given even greater relevance to the tournament.
