Chaska Town
Chaska, Minnesota- Address3000 Town Course Dr, Chaska, MN 55318, USA
Set within a massive 285-acre property encompassing oak groves, open prairie and marshlands, the Chaska Town Course is owned and operated by the local municipal authority. It’s an Arthur Hills design from 1997 that lies to the south of Lake Bavaria, less than a 10-minute drive from Hazeltine National.
In fact, when the U.S. Amateur championship was held at Hazeltine National in 2006, the tournament was co-hosted with Chaska Town. The U.S. Junior Amateur was also due to be staged with the same co-hosting arrangements in 2020 until the covid-19 pandemic caused the event to be cancelled.
The layout is configured as two returning nines, each of which end with a par five hole, and it can be stretched overall to 6,817 yards from the back markers. Notable holes include the short par three 4th and right doglegging 9th, with the short par four 16th presenting a reasonable birdie opportunity on the back nine.
