Cabramatta
Cabramatta, New South Wales- AddressCabramatta Rd E, Cabramatta NSW 2166, Australia
Cabramatta Golf Club was formed in 1947, with Eric Apperly setting out the club’s original 18-hole course. Craig Parry was recently engaged to revitalize the course and recommend improvements, especially for the three-hole section starting at the 10th.
Occupying around 90 acres of a property to the west of Sydney city centre, the course extends to 5,900 metres from the tips, playing to a par of 70 (35 out then 35 in), with holes arranged as two returning nines. There’s only one par five on the front nine and three par threes on the back nine and water hazards feature at a handful of holes positioned around three ponds in the middle of the layout.
Highlight holes include the second of the short holes on the card at the par three 7th (with a raised green that sits behind a pond); the left doglegging par five 13th (with water to the right and sand to the left of the green); and the tough, uphill par four 18th (rated stroke index 2) where the home green is protected by a large bunker to the front right of the putting surface.
