With mountain views to die for, the golf course at 3 Creek Ranch is a Rees Jones-designed layout that’s set out within a large 710-acre residential property on the largely level landscape of Jackson Hole valley.
Opened in 2005, the size of the layout might at first appear absolutely massive, measuring in at 7,777 yards from the back tees but, given an altitude of 6,200 feet above sea level, the course has actually been constructed in proportion to its environment.
Notable holes at 3 Creek Ranch include the short par four 4th (“Mosquito Creek”), where sand flanks the fairway on the right with water to the left of the green, and a couple of strong par fours which are laid out on either side of a small lake at holes 11 and 12.
